NZILA 50th Book
Celebrating 50 years of the NZILA
The Institute is working to produce a book commemorating the first half century of Tuia Pito Ora New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects.
Our plan is to feature 50 key projects, people and events which have shaped the Institute and the landscape architecture profession here in Aotearoa. We believe this is an important milestone to mark and this would be a stunning way to capture this hugely important period.
The book would be available for purchase at our 2022 NZILA Firth Conference (25-27 May) and also be held in the National Library, further cementing the importance of our profession.
As you can imagine - this latest lockdown has not helped our timeline and we now need to confirm this project as quickly as we can.
We have secured the services of Point Publishing to oversee the project and have an agreed timeline.
The Institute will be providing initial seed funding to get this important project underway as part of our 50th celebrations. And we are also seeking sponsors to help.
The Sponsorship opportunities are:
Gold sponsor $2000 + gst (each will receive 5 complimentary copies of the book)
Silver sponsor $1000 + gst (each will receive 2 complimentary copies)
Bronze sponsor $500 + gst (each will receive one complimentary copy)
To sign up for sponsorship or to find out more about the opportunity please click here.
Sponsors will be credited in the inside back cover of the book and will also be promoted on Landscape Architecture Aotearoa, NZILA and associated social media and general communications.
We also are very keen to hear your ideas for the people, projects and historic moments which could be included in the book. The final list will be confirmed by an editorial panel at the end of September. Please email your suggestions to Book Suggestions.
We look forward to making this celebration a reality to showcase our profession at a time when we find ourselves more in demand than ever before.
