Early Bird deadline: 15 April 2026
The International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) has opened submissions for the new IFLA Global Landscape Architecture (GLA) Awards, inviting landscape architects and students worldwide to showcase work making a meaningful impact.
These awards shift the focus from competition toward recognition, celebrating projects that respond to the big issues shaping our future, including climate action, biodiversity, social equity, water security, and resilient communities.
The programme recognises a wide range of practice areas, with categories spanning climate action, Indigenous knowledges, landscapes for cities and settlements, technology and innovation, urban health and wellbeing, young landscape architects, and more.
Importantly, the awards include a tiered fee structure based on World Bank income groups, supporting fair and accessible participation globally.
Finalists will be celebrated at the IFLA World Congress in Hong Kong in October 2026, and winning projects will be featured in the IFLA Hub, a global case study resource supporting research, advocacy, and policy.
