Canterbury Westland Branch
Canterbury Westland branch held an event at Jasmax Christchurch office to celebrate the recent Resene NZILA Pride of Place Landscape Architecture Awards as well as other great local achievements.
The bubbly was popped and glasses raised to congratulate Adrian Taylor on his recent Registration and Jenny Moore for her gaining the title of NZILA Fellow.
We were delighted to have Nicole Thompson, Director LA, Wraight & Associates Ltd and Mike Thomas, Principle Landscape Architect & Director, Jasmax visit us in Christchurch from the North Island to give an insight into their projects. Eight projects were presented overall including the George Malcolm Award winner from Wraight & Associates for the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
Other presentations included VXV Plaza, Auckland; Whitehaven Winery Marlborough; Harewood Underpass, Christchurch; Nomayhah House, Tasman Bay; Cenotaph Precinct Upgrade, Wellington; Christchurch Central Street & Spaces Design Guide; Otahuhu Station, Auckland.
A 'boutique' audience very much appreciated the opportunity to see the projects and have them presented by those involved.
The bubbly was accompanied by a Moroccan feast kindly sponsored by Jasmax.
