Congratulations to all the Landscape Architecture students who took part in the 2026 BRANZ ArchEngBuild Challenge in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Working alongside architecture, engineering, building and construction students from across Aotearoa, they showcased the valuable contribution landscape architects bring to multidisciplinary teams shaping the future of the built environment.

Thank you to Ekai Chiu, Richie Green, Konstantinos Antonopoulos, Isla Hawkins and Ananda Acharya, Yas Sharma and Michael Head for representing the profession so well.

A special mention also goes to Konstantinos Antonopoulos, whose team won the 72-hour challenge with their project "Connected by Community".

A huge thanks to Don Royds for stepping up to be a mentor and Emily Rose for stepping in to be a judge.
