An opportunity for NZ firms
The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects has opened nominations for its 2025 Awards, and two international categories offer a great chance for Aotearoa practices to showcase their work on a global stage.
International categories
Category F – International Project
For completed public-facing landscape projects such as parks, streetscapes, schools, infrastructure, heritage or restoration. Projects must be completed between 1 June 2023 and 31 December 2025.
Category G – International Planning & Research
For completed or published work in master planning, research, climate resilience, landscape policy, design studies or similar.
Both categories are open to organisations and practitioners who operate outside Hong Kong, so New Zealand firms are fully eligible.

Key dates
- Nominations open: 28 November 2025
- Submission portal open: 10 December 2025
- All entries close: 9 January 2026, 5pm HKT
- Awards ceremony: March 2026
Entry requirements (summary)
- A1 presentation panel (digital, portrait)
- Completed nomination form and 300-word design statement
- Hero image
- Proof of payment
- Client or project proponent approval for all materials
Cost
HKD 2,500 per entry (about NZD 530)
Judging focuses on
Design, sustainability, innovation, value and professionalism.
