We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board as we enter the next phase of our journey. We are inviting nominations for upcoming board elections.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Tuia Pito Ora New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects and contribute to our mission. While all interested, eligible candidates are welcome, we encourage individuals with governance, strategy and organisational growth experience to consider applying.

We asked the current board for their insights into this opportunity:

Simon Button: I have found my time on the Tuia Pito Ora NZILA Board to be both rewarding and engaging; contributing to the strategic direction of the profession and helping to navigate some of the challenges we have faced this year. This role offers a unique platform for you to contribute your expertise, passion, and vision while collaborating with a diverse group of peers. 

James Pattullo: So far my short time on the NZILA Board has already advanced my governance skills over a variety of topics. It's been thrilling and rewarding to get stuck into the mahi, meet new people, and help advance the profession

John Potter: Being on the Tuia Pito Ora NZILA Board provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to both the governance and strategic direction of our Institute, and to the direction of travel of our diverse profession.  It also provides ‘hands-on experience’ of working in close collaboration with the Management Team – this exposure to the differing but complementary functions of governance and management is a rewarding and very useful skillset for Landscape Architects to possess!
