Victoria University Prize Giving

Congratulations to this years award winners!
Wellington Branch Chair Cassandra Drayton attended the Victoria University Prize Giving held on 17 May 2022 and presented the NZILA awards:
- Akiwa Ngatai received the NZILA Dr Diane Menzies Supreme Award as the top student in the final year.
- Caitlin Hartnett-Poelman received the NZILA Award of Excellence as the top student in the 2nd to last year.
- Amelia Platje received the NZILA Award of Excellence as the top student in the 3rd to last year.
Awards were presented for the 2022 academic year.

Dr Diane Menzies ONZM, the namesake of the Supreme award is an NZILA Life Member. Dr Menzies was honoured with Life Membership of the Institute in 2005 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the development of the Institute and that of the landscape architecture profession. Dr Menzies was also awarded an Officer of the Order for services to the environment in the 2008 New Zealand Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
