Applications are now open
Did you know that funding is available for Matariki planting of native trees?
Provided by the Ministry of Primary Industries the Matariki Tu Rākau funding for memorial tree planting applications are open now.
Your community can apply for funding to plant trees as living memorials to honour New Zealand’s heroes.
If you are working with a community group, school, council, the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Associations (RNZRSA), and marae, Te Uru Rākau provides funding for trees (preferably native trees) to be planted on suitable land that is accessible to the public or iwi. This includes parks, places of remembrance, schools, marae.
Applications for 2022 are open. This is the final year of funding through the grant. Click here for details.
