Hamilton City Council (HCC) is reviewing its panel of Independent Hearings Commissioners to whom authority is given to hear matters and determine the best solutions under the Resource Management Act 1991. HCC is committed to diversity and inclusion, are active members of Diversity Works New Zealand, and encourage all accredited practitioners to apply.
Kirikiriroa/Hamilton is growing annually and HCC would like the composition of the panel to reflect Kirikiriroa/Hamilton’s diverse community. We are particularly interested in applicants with Te Ao Māori and Tikanga knowledge and who have knowledge and awareness of the City’s aspirations. We embrace flexible work practices and accept applications from across New Zealand.
Suitable applicants must be Ministry for the Environment accredited RMA Commissioners with relevant qualifications and experience. We are interested in candidates who have conducted hearings, hui/meetings and have experience navigating through difficult situations that lead to desirable outcomes.
Responses close at 5pm Monday 30th November 2020. Full information regarding the role is available here or email procurement@hcc.govt.nz
