I now had the ‘time’ and ‘hardware grunt’ to knit together my earliest GoPro footage and make a music video!
With the modest home computer stored away in the closet, and the hefty work machine and double screens, now shrouding the table in the spare room,… an opportunity suddenly dawned on me that had been made possible by ‘Lockdown’.

In 2018, Rough & Milne Landscape Architects flew all their staff ‘across the ditch’ to Melbourne, Australia for what would transpire as the ‘best’ landscape field tour ever assembled. It took place over three action packed days. Some of the activities included: Melbourne CBD bike tour; Federation Square tour; Royal Botanic Gardens tour; Docklands redevelopment tour (led by the master planners DKO Architects); Carrum Foreshore tour; WE-EF factory tour at Braeside; and copious amounts of good food, coffee, and craft beer!
Inspired by my favourite YouTube vloggers, a few weeks before embarking on this fantastic trip, I purchased a GoPro camera, which has been one of my best investments.
Today, I remain a novice GoPro user. However, in recent weeks, I have been consuming video editing tutorials and sorting through archived footage, which I must say… has been thoroughly enjoyable as great memories come flooding back!
Last week, I posted my first video on YouTube titled: ‘Rough & Milne - Flashback 2018’.
