NZILA Wellington Branch
Do you know the difference between permeable, porous and pervious paving?... Well, the Wellington NZILA members who attended last Friday’s Firth Concrete Seminar do!
Arranged through Bernice Cumming of Firth, Boffa Miskell had the pleasure of hosting a very informative seminar on Permeable paving to Wellington Branch members as part of the Firth Concrete Series.

The Key Speaker was Stuart Girvan - Firth’s Technical and Specification Advisor, and New Zealand’s leading expert on permeable paving. Stuart went in detail about How Firth Eco-pave can; recharge groundwater, improve water quality, control water flow during a peak storm event, and can be used as an alternative to retention tanks. NZILA members were particularly interested in Stuart's involvement with New Zealand local councils and writing the permeable specification standards for NZ.
Thank you to all who attended
