It was good to see newsletter 1 from the IFLA Asia Pacific Region finally making it to press, with issue 2 out shortly featuring more information on the 2019 Asia-Pac awards. This year, the timing of the regional awards coincides with our national awards which is unfortunate, but it does provide an opportunity for NZ landscape architects to more easily enter their work nationally and regionally…
A pilot resilience project is now underway as a regional initiative in Timor-Leste, led by the IFLA APR president Damian Tang. It is a great example of how the resilience fund can make a practical difference to the lives of particular communities through the profession of landscape architecture.
There will be more on these topics in the next regional newsletter, but in the meantime we wish all of those who celebrate Chinese New Year good fortune and continuing prosperity for February 5!
