Heather Wilkins
Earlier this year, GreensceneNZ warmly welcomed Heather Wilkins to the team in their Auckland design studio. As Senior Landscape Architect, Heather is leading a number of commercial and multi-unit residential landscape projects. She is very enthusiastic about her new role, working under a design-build model to realise an array of large scale developments. Heather is appreciating the benefits of working in a small, dynamic team that is able to respond to the market swiftly and is rapidly gaining a better understanding of construction costs from the wealth of industry knowledge at Greenscene.
Heather graduated from Unitec in 2012 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and immediately began working in Boffa Miskell’s Auckland office on a range of projects. She became Registered in 2016, and appointed as Associate Principal at Boffa Miskell in 2018. Through her work with planners, ecologists and landscape planners, Heather has developed a thorough understanding of the Resource Consent process and achievable environmental mitigation outcomes as a result. She finds working on ecological restoration projects very rewarding, particularly in coastal and riparian environments.
