The High Country Advisory Group, established by Land Information New Zealand, aims to offer advice and insights to the Commissioner of Crown Lands and Land Information New Zealand (Linz) to enable greater transparency and communication in the management of Crown land in the South Island High Country.
The New High Country Advisory Group is seen as a 'big win for the environment'. The group was formed in response to growing pressures in the high country, particularly in the Mackenzie and Waitaki Basins.
NZILA member Di Lucas is one of the 10 nominees picked out of 33 applications to be appointed to the New High Country Advsory Group.
