About the role
We are seeking an early-career Landscape Architect to join our Hamilton or Tauranga team. You will work alongside our team of experienced landscape architects and multi-disciplinary project teams, supporting a wide range of projects across Aotearoa. You’ll provide production support, including design support, so strengths in graphic and /or design documentation are essential. There might also be times where the role assists with undertaking site observation activities, meeting with contractors to ensure that our design work is being implemented as intended.
About You
You enjoy working as part of a team and are motivated by achieving positive design outcomes.
You have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and can demonstrate:
- A bachelor’s degree (Hons) or master’s degree in landscape architecture
- Strong graphic skills and experience using a range of digital tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as hand drawing. REVIT skills are particularly advantageous.
- Experience working across the design process, including how ideas are developed from concept design through to construction documentation.
- Some on site implementation and/or observation experience
- A strong eye for detail, composition and visual communication
- The ability to communicate your ideas and design thinking in a clear, thoughtful and engaging way.
- A proactive approach to managing your work and meeting deadlines.
- A willingness to take initiative, contribute ideas, ask questions, and seek guidance when needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Membership of the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects and an interest in achieving NZILA registration.
- A current full driver’s license.
