The Opportunity: Drive Design Excellence
This is a key role in our new Auckland studio, working closely with Principal Mike Thomas. You will be instrumental in defining and delivering projects that contribute positively to the Mauri of our landscapes.
- Drive Design & Delivery: Take the lead on the design, documentation, and successful delivery of transformative public realm and urban regeneration projects across New Zealand.
 - Strengthen Partnership: Champion meaningful and authentic collaboration with clients, communities, and Mana Whenua to co-design places that resonate with a strong local identity.
 - Support Strategic Growth: Contribute to the successful establishment of the studio by ensuring project quality and providing technical mentorship to our other team members.
 - Navigate the RMA: Utilise your expert knowledge of New Zealand's planning environment, including the Resource Management Act (RMA), to deliver robust and consentable design solutions.
 
What We’re Looking For
We are searching for a Registered Landscape Architect (NZILA) with a proven track record over a minimum of 8+ years experience who possesses:
- Design & Technical Prowess: A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, technical rigor, and proficiency in documentation across all project phases.
 - Cultural Competence: A commitment to Te Ao Māori and its application in contemporary design, fostering a genuine connection to Whenua.
 - Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in leading project packages and providing technical guidance to project teams.
 - Local Expertise: Understanding of the Auckland Unitary Plan and its implications for landscape architecture.
