Primary Activities
- Project Leadership: Manages multiple landscape design projects from concept to construction with support from associates, overseeing all phases including design development, documentation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Team & Client Coordination: Leads multidisciplinary teams and liaises with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Quality & Standards: With the support of technical lead ensures all deliverables meet technical, contractual, and company quality standards, including QA/QC procedures and documentation protocols.
Technical Competencies
- Design & Project Leadership: Leads multiple small to medium landscape projects with minimal supervision, combining technical expertise and creative vision to deliver functional, sustainable designs aligned with client expectations and WAHO’s design ethos.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination & Communication: Collaborates across disciplines including architecture and engineering; manages teams, communicates effectively through drawings and documentation, and ensures smooth execution from concept to construction.
- Technical Knowledge & Tools: Proficient in CAD, Revit, BIM, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design technologies; brings strong horticultural and environmental knowledge, and integrates cultural, educational, and artistic strategies into landscape design.
Position Requirements
- Professional Experience & Education: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience on sizeable design projects, with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture. Chartered status with a recognised institute is preferred.
- Core Skills & Competencies: Client and stakeholder management skills, strong attention to detail, planning and execution abilities, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. A proactive mindset and collaborative spirit are essential.
- Commitment to Profession: Demonstrates a genuine passion for the field, with a drive to continuously advance their thinking, refine their expertise, and contribute to shaping the direction of the profession.
