Intermediate-Senior Landscape Architect

Botanic is a growing boutique landscape design studio based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and looking to grow our team in 2025. We are seeking a creative and self-motivated Landscape Architect with between 3-7 years experience to hit the ground running on a variety of exciting projects.
We work on a wide variety of landscape design projects. Some of our current projects include: The Christchurch Performing Arts Precinct, Takapūneke Reserve in Akaroa, Tapoa Naval Point, The Youth Hub, a birdsong sanctuary, recreation and play spaces, school campuses and a continuous flow of residential gardens including many local architects' own gardens.
Our design approach is very inclusive and we regularly co-design with our clients and collaborators. We also collaborate with local Rūnanga on culturally significant projects and recently started our journey to deepen our Te Reo Māori knowledge.
Key skills and experience required:
- A recognised degree in Landscape Architecture
- Between 3-7 years professional experience delivering all aspects of projects from concept to completion
- Confidence with Vectorworks, Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite
- Values relationships and contributing to our culture and community
- A collaborative and empathetic design approach
- Someone who loves exploring design in their life and having fun

- The ability to hand sketch concepts and ideas, even in front of clients.

Our home is a creative studio on Welles Street, shared with architects, engineers, designers and project consultants, plus a jungle of plants. It’s a great central location with good vibes, barista coffee, bike parking and lots of cafes.
