Landscape Planner (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a qualified Landscape Planner to join our small team.
Vivian+Espie is a planning and landscape practice based in the stunning environment of Queenstown, New Zealand. We work for a range of private and local government clients across the lower South Island.
Queenstown is a small but exciting tourist centre in the mountains of the South Island. Tourism based around skiing, mountain biking and outdoor adventure activities is at the centre of our economy. Our projects are often based around these activities (as is our leisure time!).
Our landscape staff are primarily involved in assessing the effects of proposed developments on landscape values and visual amenity. We present our landscape assessments in the form of reports and/or presenting at local government hearings/meetings. Landscape design work is also part of our practice.
The ideal applicant will have experience in landscape assessment work. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to write reports. Experience with Vectorworks or similar drafting software will be an advantage. Applicants will need to hold a driving licence that allows them to drive in New Zealand.

This role is a fixed term role to cover parental leave, in the first instance, but there is the potential for the role to evolve and become permanent. Flexible working times will be considered for the right applicant.
