Xteriorscapes are seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join the team in their Christchurch studio. We are an award winning, Christchurch-based Landscape Architectural company, specialising in quality landscape design for residential and commercial projects throughout the country.

We are looking for a full-time Landscape Architect with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, to join our small team in a busy and exciting office environment. We offer you the chance to work on a great range of projects at various scales and levels of complexity, working directly with our clients, project consultants and contractors.
We would be excited to welcome a new member to our team who can bring the following skills and attributes to our practice:
- A great eye for creative residential and commercial design
- An excellent communicator with great people skills, who is confident engaging directly with Clients and Contractors
- A team player, who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and other consultants
- Excellent time management, and comfortable working within set project fees
- Self-motivated, and enthusiastic about working on varied of projects at different stages of design & construction
- Experienced and / or familiar with, AutoCAD / Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) / Sketchup (all of which can be learnt on the job, if necessary)
- Well-rounded plant knowledge and a good level of experience in planting design
- Experience in residential subdivision/land development design, and associated local council approval and handover processes
- Experienced in construction detailing
- Motivated to undertake project management and contract administration during construction • A good sense of humour!
- A current NZ work visa
Key responsibilities will include:
- Taking a leading role as the main point of contact on projects
- Working directly with Clients to design and deliver their project on time, within fees and to an excellent standard
- Seeing a project through all its phases, from creative sketch concepts to final completion
- Growing your creativity, experience and skillset through project work, supported by a great team
