Graduate Landscape Architect/designer
Oratia, Auckland
We have a position for a new member to join our team of designers. Our studio is based at the foot of the Waitakeres (in Auckland), with an experimental garden attached to the studio (and space for prototyping as part of our design process).
We work throughout the country, providing opportunities for looking into local ecosystems and built forms, although most work is situated within or near Auckland.
One position available:
- Fixed term/full time.
- Five day week.
- Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Rate: $30 - $31 per hour, depending on the skills.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Planning and design for projects ranging from compact urban sites to large scale commercial sites and land restoration.
- Utilise software for the generation of design & construction documentation.
- Project management; including site visits, and sourcing of plants and materials.
Qualifications, skills & experience required:
- Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture.
- At least one year’s industry experience in NZ or abroad.
- Good knowledge of horticulture.
- Proficiency in Affinity creative software and AutoCAD.
- Modelling capability in Sketchup and/or Rhino 3D.
- Effective graphic & verbal communication skills (including hand sketching).
