Important changes are coming to the way Kāinga Ora works with landscape architects, with the establishment of preferred supplier panels. The RFP for landscape architects will be released early-to-mid Feb 2022 through GETS and Tenderlink with a six week response window.
We encourage you to join Kāinga Ora on Jan 26 at 12pm for a webinar about the benefits of joining the panel, and criteria for selection.

Kāinga Ora Director - Architecture, Marko den Breems, and Senior Procurement Specialist, Andrea Pryce will discuss why Kāinga Ora is establishing the panel, what they are looking for, and benefits of becoming a preferred partner. Questions welcome.

The panels will give preferred suppliers visibility of the Kāinga Ora pipeline, build greater understanding between suppliers and Kāinga Ora, improve social and environmental impacts, and significantly improve contracting arrangements.

The preferred supplier panels will support regional projects across New Zealand.

• The period proposed is two years, with the right for renewal of one plus one years (2+1+1).
• Each category and region has restricted numbers of suppliers to ensure each supplier receives some work from Kāinga Ora

Speakers:

Andrea Pryce joined Kāinga Ora in March 2021, to work on procurement consultancy service panels. She is passionate about building relationships with suppliers that are connected and realistic with today’s challenges. Being new to Kāinga Ora Andrea is driving procurement change leading the creation of more informed agreements with consultancy service suppliers that will stand up to the way Kāinga Ora is leading the New Zealand construction industry.

Marko den Breems has joined Kāinga Ora in the last few months in the newly created role of Director of the Architectural Design Management Office. He is establishing a team that is tasked with ensuring Kāinga Ora delivers design quality in the delivery of its social housing developments. Marko is well known within the profession and property industry with a particular focus on large scale public projects and sustainability. He was a long term Principal at Jasmax and its CEO from 2012-2018.
