The Refreshed Auckland City Centre Masterplan (CCMP)

The new CCMP provides a 20-year vision for Auckland city centre and waterfront. It continues the vision of the 2012 masterplan and introduces new components for the city centre vision. These include Māori outcomes and a new approach to city centre movement: Access for Everyone (A4E). Come and find out more about the CCMP and how it will shape urban design in the city over the next two decades.

George Weeks joined the Auckland Design Office in 2017 as a Principal Urban Designer in the City Centre Design Unit. He is responsible for refreshing the Auckland City Centre Masterplan (CCMP) a 20-year design-led vision for the heart of the city. George has also contributed to Auckland Council’s prizewinning work to develop a business case for walking and has helped to shape Auckland Transport’s Roads and Streets Framework. His academic background includes economics, urban design and real estate development. Previously he was an urban designer at Transport for London (TfL). Outside work, he sails sportsboats on Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour.
