Aotearoa New Zealand's protected conservation land is under threat. Forest & Bird's maps of at-risk land have sparked a national conversation - and this election we have an opportunity to show politicians how many of us value nature. Join us in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington this August, to hear from conservation experts about what's at stake, and your political candidates on what they plan to do about it.

Mobilise for Nature - Afternoon Session

Whether you're a long-time advocate or just getting started, this session is for anyone who wants to make a difference for nature this election. Hear from inspiring local speakers - including expert voices on the Conservation Amendment Bill and what's at risk, take part in a practical workshop, and connect with others from across the conservation community. You’ll leave with the tools, skills, and relationships to help support the campaign and strengthen your future advocacy for nature.

The Election Conversation - Evening Event

After networking and nibbles from 6pm, the programme features a keynote address on local conservation issues, hear an overview of what's at stake for nature this election - including what the Conservation Amendment Bill could mean for the region, and a moderated political panel with representatives from across the spectrum. Audience questions will be put directly to the panel, giving you the chance to hear how parties plan to tackle the issues that matter most for nature.
