SoLA Seminar (Hybrid): Landscape as Legacy: Reflections and Learnings From 60 Years of Landscape Practice by Frank Boffa
30 Jul, online

CPD points: 1.0
You are invited to attend SOLA’s Seminar - Landscape as Legacy: Reflections and Learnings From 60 Years of Landscape Practice with Frank Boffa - Founder of Boffa Miskell
Te Papa Tū Whirinaki | Landscape Foundation welcomes Frank Boffa as the inaugural speaker in the "Landscape as..." lectures series. Hosted by the School of Landscape Architecture at Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki | Lincoln University, Frank's lecture will explore the idea of landscape as legacy, as a reflection on six decades of professional life. Frank’s career covers landscape education, the establishment of the NZILA Tuia Pita Ora, Boffa Miskell, and professional practice under the Town and Country Planning Act, the National Development Act, the Resource Management Act, and what now appears to be the creation of more of a ‘laissez-faire ‘planning framework . Frank’s presentation will traverse some of the high and low points in his professional development over the past 60 years, and what today’s students might learn from this.
