Revisiting IFLA APR Talk & Share: An Architizer A+Awards Finalist Feature
15 May, Online
The IFLA Asia Pacific "Talk & Share" series is a space for our community to explore the research and projects shaping our profession. Our past sessions, including the 2025 programme co-hosted with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), remain available as a resource for those who missed the live broadcasts.
This is a great time to revisit this particular session, as one project "Song of the Cricket" has been selected as a finalist for the Architizer A+Awards in the Sustainable Landscape / Planning category. It is shortlisted for the Popular Choice Award in this category with voting open until 15 May.
You may also support the project by voting for the Popular Choice Award here: Vote for Song of the Cricket
What is the "Song of the Cricket"?
Originally developed for the 19th International Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, this "living lab" enhances biodiversity through modular floating islands that serve as portable breeding stations for targeted habitat rehabilitation.
We encourage you to rewatch the session to learn more about the research and design strategies behind the project!
