In conversation with Ralph Johns, Jake will reflect on a series of recent European competition wins and losses. Their discussion will explore the challenges of assembling diverse teams, the transferability of core values across different cultural contexts, and how collaboration can become either a project's greatest strength or its greatest challenge.

Landscape architect & partner at White Arkitekter

Jake Ford is a landscape architect & partner at White Arkitekter in Sweden, working often in collaboration with academic institutions, visual artists, curators and design researchers. Over recent years Jake’s focus has been on the increasingly urgent conversation around resources and the joint nature and climate emergency.

He was responsible for White Arkitekter’s contribution to the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale, 'The Laboratory of the Future', and currently contributes to the research project 'Nordic Liveable Cities' with Roskilde University, exploring forms and consequences of liveability agendas within urban planning and architecture. Current projects include a new community in Lund, Sweden, with a thousand-year perspective and the design of a public space for the New York Climate Exchange.
