Landscape architects are increasingly involved in shaping outcomes for wai through our design and planning work. In Tāmaki Makaurau, we have seen greater awareness of flood capacity and resilience, alongside growing pressure on our waterways, wetlands and water infrastructure to deliver multiple outcomes for people, the environment and the mauri of wai itself.

This morning kōrero will explore emerging approaches to water-sensitive design, with brief presentations from industry specialists, including representatives from Healthy Waters and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

Please start the day with us at Warren and Mahoney Studio on Thursday 17 September, from 8am for an 8:30am start. Coffee and snacks will be provided by the branch.
