NZIA Auckland Branch Spring Series - Talk Three
30 Oct 2019, Auckland
CPD points: 1.0
The United Nations predicts that in 2050, 68% of the world’s population will live in urban areas. This translates to another 2.5 billion people in cities throughout the world – many of which are already struggling to deal with ageing infrastructure and a climate emergency. Urban Regeneration as a practice seeks to create sustainable economies, resilient infrastructure and grow cultural capital. The 2019 NZIA Auckland Branch Spring Series will feature an amazing line-up of talks from international architects alongside New Zealand’s very own, discussing projects from Auckland, Beijing, Christchurch, Glasgow and Oslo. The three events bring together a cross section of viewpoints, from academics to practitioners, but all feature a common thread – how can urban regeneration create a better city for tomorrow?
