Geomodular solutions where traditional construction methods won’t cut it
Traditional engineering systems used in slope stabilisation, erosion control and landscape design can pose negative impacts for the environment, while also encountering challenges through practical limitations.
In this informative webinar, New Zealand specialist consultant for Flex MSE will explore an innovative green infrastructure system designed by vegetation specialists and geomodular construction experts, that leverages Mechanically Stabilsed Earth (MSE) principles along with geotextile technology to address complex challenges facing land design and development.
Addressing issues such as erosion control, slope instability, flood risk and aesthetic priorities, Matthew Strachan will also bring insights into the environmental impacts and design challenges facing traditional systems that use timber, concrete and steel. Comparisons of lifespan, embodied carbon and legacy costs between various traditional products and Flex MSE will be touched on, and a solutions-focused discussion will entail.
Matthew will share his expertise on using the Flex MSE vegetated wall system to create strong and easy to install geomodular block structures as an economical and eco-friendly solution to challenges involving slope reinforcement and repairs, highway walls, flood protection, commercial and residential landscaping, and anywhere land meets water.
Time: 12pm Tuesday 19 August 2025
