Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency are offering a one-day industry training course focussing on planning and design for pedestrians.

This course will be of value to anyone involved in planning, designing or overseeing urban projects and programmes, such as: project managers, transport planners, transport engineers, landscape architects, urban designers, road safety auditors, advocates and elected members. Course material is based on the national Pedestrian Network Guidance (PNG) and will focus on the practical application of real world examples. Participants will also hear about case studies from around New Zealand and take part in hands-on interactive quizzes, activities and exercises. Participants will need to undertake some pre-work (approx. 4 hours) before the course to maximise learning on the day.
