Ako Ako 2021: Placemaking in Practice
15 Nov 2021, Online
Placemaking Aotearoa we would like to invite NZILA members to join them for Ako Ako 2021 - a series of online conversations on placemaking.
“Ako Ako 2021: Placemaking in Practice” is a week of online lunchtime kōrero organised by Placemaking Aotearoa. They will meet every day at 12 pm as a placemaking collective to talk about our practice, learnings, struggles and wins.
Five online sessions will be hosted by experienced practitioners from all sectors and parts of the country (and across the ditch).
Placemaking Aotearoa invite everyone who is interested in placemaking to join us. This year, the conversation is focused on ‘how’: how we can make good places by people, with people, for people; how we can overcome barriers; how we can work better together; how change that matters - that is relevant to Aotearoa and its peoples – is happening and can continue to happen across a wider range of people and places in this highly dynamic world.
These sessions are designed to be 2-way and we would love to include people from a range of sectors, expertise and life experiences. If you, your organisation and/or others you know are interested in creating, programming and using good public spaces in ways that matter to the people who are in these places, please join us!
The full programme and registration links are available on the website.
