Graduate Landscape Architect


We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated graduate who is ready to kick-start their career as a Landscape Architect. By joining our dynamic design team in Hamilton, you will gain hands on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

This position will see you working alongside 5 friendly, collaborative, and passionate landscape architects who excel at what they do. Our Landscape Architects deliver a wide range of industry leading projects throughout New Zealand. Some of our most recent projects in the Waikato include Ruakura Inland port and associated logistics and industrial development, Greenhill Park medium density residential development, Rangitahi residential development, Tamahere Country Club, Amberfield residential development, Waikeria Prison redevelopment, and Lake Te Koo Utu and Memorial Park concept plans.

As a graduate within Boffa Miskell you will gain practical experience to accelerate your personal and professional development to achieve your goals. We will help you grow in confidence, refine the skills you need, and build your networks. You’ll be an important part of the team from day one, actively contributing ideas to projects that help shape our communities.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture;
  • A passion for great design and an enquiring mind;
  • Strong graphic skills with experience in the use of a range of digital tools and techniques,  including Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD and SketchUp;
  • An ability to think both spatially and laterally;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively;
  • Be hungry to learn and willing to put in the hard yards when things get busy;
  • Clear and well-articulated written and oral communication skills.
