NZILA Members Invitation to meet James Hayter, President for the International Federation of Landscape Architects. James has been invited by Victoria University to present; we are fortunate to have him visit Christchurch and share his presentation with us.
What: Presentation on the redevelopment of past manufacturing and institutional sites in our cities and how this compels us to readjust our understanding of nature – people – culture.
When: 13th Sep 2018, 5:30pm
Where: Boffa Miskell, Level 1, 141 Cambridge Terrace
An authentic design response is often most relevant if it comes from the prior history of the site and careful editing of the remaining fabric. The resultant narrative can transform the way we look at landscape and the role of the landscape architect as orchestrator of change.
