Friends of Mana Island Inc would like to invite you to a volunteer work party Friday 29 November – Sunday 1 December. 
Up to 18 volunteers are required.
 
Travel will be via Knuckle Charters Ltd, departing Mana Marina Friday 29 November at approximately 4pm and returning to the Sunday 1 December  at approximately 4pm.  The travel costs are being funded by FOMI and DoC, but volunteers are required to supply all their own food.  Accommodation is in the Lockwood house, which has two bunkrooms, fully equipped kitchen, showers, hot water, etc.
 
You will have an opportunity to explore the island whilst you are there, and if you are lucky you may spot some Rowi kiwi, Cook Strait weta, Takahe and more.
 
Jobs will be varied and include but not be limited to:

• Lizard monitoring
• Green Gecko fence
• Flax weevil monitoring 
• 5MBC (5 minute bird counts)
• Flax planting survey
• Track maintenance
• Gannet painting
